Effective date: July 4, 2026
Welcome to Dog-ology. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dog-ology.com and your booking and use of our dog training, daycare, and boarding services in Frederick, Maryland. By using our website, submitting a booking request, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you sign a separate service agreement or waiver with us, that signed document controls for those services wherever it differs from these Terms.
Dog-ology provides professional dog training, daycare, and boarding as described on our website. Service descriptions, hours, and availability may change from time to time.
Submitting a booking request through our website is a request, not a confirmed reservation. Your booking is confirmed only when we contact you — by text, phone, or email — and confirm availability and details. Space is limited, and we may accept or decline any request at our discretion, including for the safety or wellbeing of dogs in our care.
Every dog is different, so pricing is quoted individually based on your dog and the services requested. Quotes and payment details are communicated directly with you; no payment is collected through the website at the time of your request. Invoices are issued through Stripe, our payment processor, and payment is due upon receipt. Daycare covers a stay of up to 8 hours; stays beyond 8 hours are billed at the boarding rate. Pickups after the agreed time may incur additional charges.
Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a confirmed booking. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the quoted service. We understand emergencies happen — talk to us and we will do our best to work with you.
By booking with us, you confirm that:
We may decline or discontinue services for any dog that appears ill, is not current on required vaccinations, or whose behavior poses a risk to people or other dogs, at our sole discretion.
Dogs interacting with people and other dogs involves inherent risks — including scratches, nips, sprains, and communicable illness — that can occur even with attentive, professional supervision. We take safety seriously: dogs are supervised, and we may separate dogs or modify activities whenever we judge it best.
Emergency veterinary care. If your dog needs medical attention while in our care and we cannot reach you or your emergency contact after reasonable attempts, you authorize us to seek veterinary care for your dog at your expense, up to $500, and beyond that amount if a veterinarian deems it necessary to prevent suffering or save your dog’s life.
We may photograph or record dogs in our care for our records, and we may share photos and video on our website and social media to show what we do. If you prefer your dog not appear in marketing, tell us in writing and we will honor it.
Training results depend on many factors, including your dog’s history and temperament and the consistency of practice at home. We bring professional skill and honest guidance, but we cannot guarantee specific behavioral outcomes.
By providing your phone number on our booking form, you consent to receive text messages from Dog-ology about your booking and your dog’s care. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP (or call 240-326-3838) for assistance. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information, including our commitment that text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by Maryland law: Dog-ology, its owner, and its staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services or your use of the website; and our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You are responsible, to the extent provided by law, for injuries or damages caused by your dog, including injuries to people, other dogs, or property, and you agree to reimburse reasonable costs arising from such incidents, including veterinary or medical expenses.
The content on dog-ology.com — text, images, logos, and design — belongs to Dog-ology LLC and may not be copied or used commercially without permission. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or submit false booking requests.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in or serving Frederick County, Maryland. Before filing any claim, both parties agree to first attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting each other.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the website or our services means you accept the changes.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
