Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your dog’s first visit.

What vaccinations are required?

Rabies, DHPP (distemper/parvo), bordetella, canine influenza, and leptospirosis, plus a vet-recommended flea and tick preventative. Bring records to your meet & greet or upload them when you complete our new-client form.

I’m new — what happens first?

Book a free Initial Consult — a 30-minute call to talk through your dog’s history, your goals, and whether we’re the right fit. For daycare and boarding, we’ll arrange an in-person introduction so your pup can sniff around and meet Andi before their first full visit.

How does pricing work?

Every dog is different, so we quote individually based on your dog and the services requested. Andi confirms your exact quote by text before your first visit — no payment is taken online for daycare, boarding, or canine massage.

Training prices are listed on our Services page.

What does a daycare day look like?

Small-group play in the morning, a proper midday rest, more play and one-on-one attention in the afternoon — and a photo update texted to you during the visit. A full day covers up to 8 hours; longer stays are billed at the boarding rate.

Will I get updates during the day?

Yes — a photo is texted to you during every daycare and boarding visit. Not a webcam feed of a warehouse — a real note from someone who actually spent the day with your dog.

What should I bring?

Daycare: nothing but your dog — collar and leash for drop-off.

Boarding: your dog’s food portioned per meal, and any medication with written instructions. Labeled, please!

What’s your cancellation policy?

Life happens — just give us 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the quoted service. Emergencies are different; talk to us and we’ll do our best to work with you.

My dog is shy or picky about other dogs — can you help?

Often, yes. Small groups and one consistent caregiver make a big difference for sensitive dogs. We’ll be honest with you about fit, and training support is available if your pup needs a slower start.

Where are you, and how do I reach you?

326 Redwood Ave., Frederick, MD 21701. Call or text 240-326-2202 — texting is fastest. You can also use the contact form.
