Client Service Agreement

I understand that dogs interacting with people and other dogs — in group play, socialization, training, and routine handling — involves inherent risks that exist even with attentive, professional supervision. These risks include scratches, nips, bites, sprains and other injuries, and the transmission of communicable illness (such as canine cough). I knowingly and voluntarily accept these risks on behalf of myself and my dog.

If my dog needs medical attention while in Dog-ology’s care, Dog-ology will make reasonable attempts to reach me and my emergency contact. If we cannot be reached, I authorize Dog-ology to obtain veterinary care for my dog — from my veterinarian listed above when practical, or the nearest available veterinarian — at my expense, up to $500, and beyond that amount if a veterinarian determines it is necessary to prevent suffering or to save my dog’s life. I agree to reimburse these costs promptly.

To the maximum extent permitted by Maryland law, I release and hold harmless Dog-ology LLC, its owner, and its staff from claims, damages, and costs arising out of the ordinary risks described in this Agreement, including injury or illness to my dog arising from interactions with other dogs or from routine care and handling. This release does not apply to harm caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

I am responsible, to the extent provided by law, for injuries or damages caused by my dog to people, other animals, or property while in Dog-ology’s care, and I agree to reimburse reasonable related costs, including veterinary or medical expenses.

Dog-ology may photograph or record my dog for its care records. Please choose one:

Pricing is quoted individually for each dog and service and confirmed with me before services begin. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Daycare covers up to 8 hours; longer stays are billed at the boarding rate, and late pickups may incur additional charges. Cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice; late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the quoted service.

If my dog is not picked up within 3 days of the scheduled pickup and Dog-ology cannot reach me or my emergency contact after reasonable attempts, my dog may be deemed abandoned in accordance with applicable Maryland law and placed with a licensed shelter or rescue. I remain responsible for all accrued boarding and care costs.

Dog-ology is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal items left with my dog (leashes, bedding, toys, etc.). Dog-ology may separate dogs, modify activities, or decline or discontinue services at any time if it judges that necessary for the safety or wellbeing of any dog or person.

This Agreement is governed by Maryland law; any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in or serving Frederick County, Maryland. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
