Dog-ology LLC (“Dog-ology,” “we,” “us”) provides dog training, daycare, and boarding services in Frederick, Maryland. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us. When you submit a booking request or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, your dog’s name, and anything you share in the notes field or in later conversations — such as your dog’s breed, age, health conditions, or behavioral information. We also keep records of our communications with you by text, phone, and email.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your full card details go directly to Stripe and are not stored on our systems. Stripe’s handling of your information is described in Stripe’s own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically. Our website collects standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) to make the site function and to provide basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
When you provide your phone number on our booking form, you consent to receive text messages from Dog-ology about your booking — for example, confirmations, scheduling questions, and service updates. These are conversational, service-related messages, not marketing blasts. We will not send you promotional text messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers acting on our behalf for the sole purpose of delivering our messages to you (for example, our business phone and messaging platform).
Message frequency varies based on your booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP or call 240-326-3838 for assistance. If you opt out of texts, we will contact you about your booking by phone or email instead. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the business, and they receive only what they need to perform their function: Stripe (payment processing), Google (email and scheduling), and our business phone and messaging platform (calls and texts). These providers are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dog-ology, our clients, the dogs in our care, or the public.
Business transfers. If Dog-ology is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain accurate business and care records, resolve disputes, and meet legal and tax obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and booking requests must be submitted by someone 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site or our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
